Collapse & Expand Text: a height clamp with a toggle
This clamps the element’s height and reveals the rest on click. It is meant for long text widgets or stacked content — not for hiding entire pages.

Install the plugin from WordPress.org, enable this feature in the dashboard, then follow the steps on this page.
What it actually does
Controls: Enable Collapse & Expand, Collapsed Height, Show More Text, Show Less Text, Animation Duration, Button Position (left/center/right), Button Color / Hover Color / Font Size, Fade Effect.
Frontend-available sliders drive the height animation. Fade is a mask at the cutoff, not a new widget.
Where to find it in WordPress
Dashboard → Features → Collapse & Expand Text. Select the widget or container that holds the long copy → Advanced.
How to set it up
- Enable the feature. Dashboard.
- Select the long text element. Usually a text editor or a container wrapping it.
- Enable Collapse & Expand. Set Collapsed Height so the first lines remain readable.
- Label the button. Show More / Show Less in the visitor’s language.
- Check mobile. A height that works on desktop can clip too aggressively on phones.

It clamps height of the element you enabled. Images may look cut off — prefer text.
