Particles Background: canvas particles on a section
Particles Background enqueues the plugin’s particles script on preview/front and renders after the section/container. It is not a widget in the panel.

Install the plugin from WordPress.org, enable this feature in the dashboard, then follow the steps on this page.
What it actually does
Type options in PHP: default, NASA, bubble, snow, Nyan Cat, Custom Code (JSON).
Also: Color (default #0027FF), Animation Speed, Number of particles, Size of particle, Z-Index, Shape Type (circle, edge, triangle, polygon, star, none), Move Direction, Custom Code (JSON).
The RAW_HTML control warns that browsers throttle the animation in the editor — refresh preview to restore smoothness.
Where to find it in WordPress
Dashboard → Features → Particles Background. Select a section or container → Advanced. After several edits, use the control’s Refresh button (it calls elementor.reloadPreview()).
How to set it up
- Enable the feature. Dashboard.
- Select a section. Give it a background color so particles contrast.
- Enable Particles. Start with Type default or snow, not custom JSON.
- Tune number and size. Low counts for performance.
- Refresh preview if it crawls. As the control itself says.

Notes from the implementation
Nyan Cat is a real option in the select — it is not a docs joke. Custom JSON is for people who already know particles.js. kingaddons.com.

Editor is janky.
Click Refresh on the particles control; the file’s copy explains browser throttling.
Can I add this to a heading widget only?
Controls are registered on section and container advanced/layout hooks.
