Protected Content: lock an Elementor element

Protected Content can keep markup off the page for failed checks (before_render). That is stronger than Conditional Display’s hide, but still not a true membership plugin for whole sites.

What it actually does

Controls: Enable Protection, Protection Type (role / password / conditions / locker), Fallback Options (message / template / form), Form Shortcode, Invert Logic, Require Logged In User, Allowed Roles, Password Scope (element / global), Password, Global Key.

Condition-style extras reuse device/browser/login lists similar to Conditional Display. Password form script enqueues on the front end.

Where to find it in WordPress

Dashboard → Features → Protected Content. Select the element → Advanced. Password AJAX: king_addons_verify_password (logged-in and guests). Locker cookie via king_addons_locker_unlock.

How to set it up

  1. Enable the feature. Dashboard.
  2. Select the element to lock. A container is easier than ten widgets.
  3. Enable Protection and pick Type. Role vs password vs locker vs conditions.
  4. Set fallback. Message, a template, or a form shortcode.
  5. Test logged out / wrong password. Confirm the secret is not in the HTML if you need it hidden.
