Docs & Knowledge Base: a documentation CPT with its own templates
Docs KB is not an Elementor inner-content widget. It registers documentation posts and front-end templates (archive hero + category grid, single with breadcrumbs/TOC, taxonomy lists).

What it actually does
Options include docs_slug, main_page_id, docs_per_page, archive title/subtitle, layout, columns, article counts, category icons, dark_mode, toc_enabled/sticky/headings, sidebar, prev/next navigation, print, reading_time, social_share, reactions, search (placeholder, min chars), multiple_kb, internal docs + roles, feedback question/thanks, related_count, analytics email, colors, labels.
Templates in the plugin: archive-docs (search capsule + category grid), single-doc (TOC, reactions, related), taxonomy-docs (subcategories + pagination).
Where to find it in WordPress
Enable Docs & Knowledge Base. Settings option king_addons_docs_kb_options. Write posts in the docs CPT (kng_doc).
How to set it up
- Enable Docs KB. Dashboard.
- Set slug and archive copy. docs_slug, archive title/subtitle, main_page_id if you want a specific landing page.
- Create categories and docs. Write kng_doc posts like documentation articles.
- Turn on TOC/search/sidebar. Only what the docs site needs — TOC sticky is optional.
- Visit the archive. Use the CPT archive, not a random Elementor page, unless you embed it.

Can I design singles in Elementor?
The plugin ships PHP templates. Theme Builder is a different extension.
Is this the same as a blog?
Separate CPT, archive, and TOC — not posts.
