Live Chat: on-site support widget and wp-admin inbox
Live Chat is King Addons’ own support widget. It does not embed Intercom or Facebook Messenger. Messages hit REST namespace king-addons/v1 and land in an admin inbox.

Install the plugin from WordPress.org, enable this extension in the dashboard, then follow the steps on this page.
What it actually does
Visitor cookie: king_support_vid. Tables (without prefix): king_support_conversations and king_support_messages.
Default poll interval is 4000 ms. Rate limits in PHP: minimum 2 seconds between messages, max 20 messages per 600 second window.
The plugin can email notifications on new visitor messages. The widget is rendered on the front end from saved options (colors, greeting, offline state) — not from an Elementor widget.
Where to find it in WordPress
Enable Live Chat in the dashboard, then open its settings/inbox under King Addons. Options live in king_addons_live_chat_options.
How to set it up
- Enable Live Chat. Dashboard toggle.
- Configure the widget. Greeting, colors, offline message, and whether the launcher is shown.
- Open the inbox. Answer threads from wp-admin. The front end polls REST; you do not install a separate chat plugin.
- Test as a logged-out user. Cookie + REST + rate limits only show up on the public site.

Notes from the implementation
This is not the Sticky Contact Bar (icons/links) and not a popup. Heavy traffic will poll every 4s per visitor — keep that in mind on huge sites. kingaddons.com.

Does this connect to Slack or Intercom?
No. It stores chats in WordPress tables and shows an inbox.
Why are messages rejected?
Rate limit: wait 2 seconds, and stay under 20 messages per 10 minutes.
