Smart Links: short URLs with click analytics
Smart Links is a link manager, not a button widget. Each link is a kng_short_link post. Clicks store hashed IP/UA, referrer, device, browser, country.

Install the plugin from WordPress.org, enable this extension in the dashboard, then follow the steps on this page.
What it actually does
UTM fields: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content. Redirect can pass or filter query params (whitelist/blacklist).
Settings: base_path, default_slug_length, allow_manual_slug, default_redirect_type, tracking_enabled, exclude_bots, unique_click_window, retention_days, cache_ttl.
Analytics aggregates clicks vs unique_clicks per link.
Where to find it in WordPress
Enable Smart Links. Open King Addons → Smart Links (king-addons-smart-links). Settings option king_addons_smart_links_settings. Views: dashboard, links, add/edit, analytics, import/export, settings.
How to set it up
- Enable Smart Links. Dashboard.
- Set base path and slug rules. Settings tab before you publish dozens of links.
- Create a link. Destination URL, optional manual slug, UTM.
- Share the short URL. Clicks only count if tracking_enabled and not a bot.
- Read analytics. Per-link and dashboard views.

FAQ
Can I edit the destination later?
Yes. The CPT stores the target; old short URLs keep working.
Why is unique_clicks lower than clicks?
unique_click_window collapses repeats from the same hashed visitor.
